Seam Annealing Systems

Thermatool Seam Annealing / Normalising systems are highly efficient and offer tube and pipe producers proven reliability.

To provide rigorous quality control and to ensure process repeatability, both essential requirements for API Certification, Thermatool seam annealing systems provide continuous temperature monitoring. This is required by all API pipe producers to provide evidence that critical process temperatures have been reached during each shift.



Powered by rugged Inductotherm VIP series power supplies, Thermatool seam annealing stations are available as modular units with the following features and benefits :-


•    VIP power supply modules from 200kW to 1000kW

•    Operating frequencies 1, 3 or 6 kHz, as required

•    Mill-mounted carriage assembly for precise positioning of the inductor, 
     the optimum distance above the pipe

•    Quick-lift mechanism to rapidly raise the inductor from the pipe,
     safely away from any damaging obstructions

•    Orbital seam-tracking and line-marking capability
