Extruheat Induction Billet Heater

The Banyard Extruheat is an affordable, entry level induction heater and offers a very compact solution, all in one single unit. Conventional fuel fired ovens offering the same production rate can be four times the overall length of the Extruheat. The system features a multi-layer, high efficiency induction coil capable of Induction Heating billets up to 250mm (10”) in diameter with energy consumption kept to a minimum.

The heater has a built-in loading ramp with billet storage. The integral billet pusher and billet stop/discharge conveyor also minimise the dead time (non-heating time) in order to achieve maximum throughput of billets. Extruheat’s rugged, unitised construction is a proven design which also ensures operational reliability.

Extruheat can operate in a fully automatic mode to minimise operator intervention. It can be supplied with either Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC control for easy integration to the extrusion press. Design standardisation on Extruheat has also served to minimise stocking of spare parts and has simplified maintenance procedures.
